As of 2021-08-20, I will no longer be maintaining eudev. If you are interested and are able to maintain it, I am happy to transfer control over to you.

the LFS group are working on xudev with mods as a possible replacement if no-one picks eudev up

Just an update on what eventually happened.

On 2021-08-20 Gentoo decided to abandon eudev and a new project was established on 2021-09-14 by Alpine, Devuan and Gentoo contributors (alphabetical order).
The new release is 3.2.11, there are still 20 open issues, however none of them that are still open relate to the latest builds.
The builder can now also check for and install needed dependancies and includes a list of them to build, the list is incomplete but is a good start, additions are being looked for if anyone has time. The list is on github as the BUILD file.
