StretchDog - LXPanel, How to edit System Tray?

Post by dcung »

I use/install different flavour of StretchDog on different laptops.
One that titled 'StretchDog Chrome' on mklive script, is built with LXPanel 0.9.3.
And it comes with Parcellite clipboard.

I noticed that Parcellite does not work well with KeePass for copy/cut/paste. And ClipMan does work. So, what I have to do now is quit Parcellite and run ClipMan manually each time I boot.

I'd like to replace Parcellite with ClipMan. But I have not found out how to edit the System Tray yet.

Any idea how?

Thank you.

I managed to find a solution/workaround.

I found that there's a parcellite symlink in Startup.
So, I deleted that and put a ClipMan symlink. This didn't work.
After tinkering a little, I found that editing one of the exec script there and put ClipMan does work.

The LXPanel config tells you not to tinker with their config files, but rather use their interface to add/remove items. But how?
Anyway, got a solution for now, but still interested if there's another way to edit the System Tray.
