This topic assumes you are using one of the recommended distros or remasters.

Not all printers are compatible with Linux. To do a simple printer setup:

-attach the printer to the computer and turn it on
-click Menu>Setup>CUPS Printer Wizard
-click Manage printers and printing task button
-click the Printers tab in the dark menu bar

-click your printer (the Canon in this example)
-click the Maintenance button
-click Print Test Page

If the page prints you are connected.

If your printer does not show, you may have to load a driver for it. Request assistance on the Puppy Linux Forum
