Following demand from my partner, I now have DogRadio 0.9-1 installed on our WeeDogLinux Arch64 computers. On mine I didn't want conky so I just created a dummy file called conky in /usr/local/bin and made that executable, which seems to work fine (other than dogradio conky ticker of course). I did try installing conky on partners machine, and that installed fine, but ticker still didn't work. I couldn't be bothered bug-finding it though. Also when running conky by itself, the output just pops up in its own windowless terminal (not the neat transparent effect window used in the DebianDogs) - again I can't be bothered bug-fixing that since I don't want conky anyway. I'm too lazy these days I guess. But dogradio working fine - very convenient easy to use internet radio program.

Turns out my 8 year old knows more than me... I showed him the dogradio deb package and how to right-click and extract all the files using WD_Extract in WDL_Arch64. My plan was to then simply copy all the dogradio files into correct places in filesystem to get it to work (as I had done on my own machine). Oh no, he said, I'll convert the deb into a pacman package. Turns out he had already done similar via a utility he found in Arch AUR called debtap, which I had never heard of. Pretty useful as it turns out.

Thanks wiak.
I think the reason for that the "conky ticker" doesn't work on Weedog (and on all very modern OS's) is that the latest conky version doesn't support old syntax for config files anymore.
Didn't test on Weedog, but good chance it's fixed, anyway, below v1.0.1 .deb package ships now with new .conkyrc-radio (containing new syntax) and made some changes in dogradio script (for conky settings according to the new config syntax).

EDIT, few hours later: Changed to v1.0.1_amd64

mpg123 -@ http://icyrelay.181.fm/181-beatles_128k.mp3
