Flatpack not the problem with Anydesk in EasyVoid

I come back to the subject of problem with Anydesk in EasyVoid. (See viewtopic.php?p=109767#p109767 and some following messages in the topic easyVoid development)

The problem was with Anydesk with flatpak.
A new test proves it's not related to flatpak.

First I downloaded the deb package for Debian/Ubuntu/Linux Mint of Anydesk on the official site (https://anydesk.com/en/downloads/linux)
(helped by the site pkgs.org) I also downloaded the deb packages (for Debian12) libpolkit-gobject, libsystemd0, libgtkglext1
It's probably missing some dependencies for Anydesk to work properly but it's enough for testing the launch.

Then test in Easy 5.6.5. After the installation of the debs. Anydesk refuses to start as root but starts with "run-as-spot anydesk"

Then test in EasyVoid. Failure with the error message (in the file /home/spot/.anydesk/anydesk.trace)

Good idea to open a separate thread.

I downloaded the file anydesk-latest-amd64.tar.gz from www.anydesk.com and extracted it on /opt/ . Now trying to let it work. Inside the folder of the program there is a readme file which contains the list of needed dependencies.

The problem must be that, being easyVoid not a Debian derivative any more, it isn't that easy to install all of these dependencies on it. However, it is really impressive that it also accepts the installation of deb packages. Installed debs are then listed by PKGget and can be easily uninstalled as usual.

It is obviously weird that the flatpak doesn't work, since flatpaks are exactly made for avoiding this type of issues (they should already contain all required dependencies).

Now when doing:

the program runs, because the tray icon appears. But If I do right click --> New Session on it, nothing happens and after less than one minute the process of the program simply dies, without showing any error.
This could be something intricate with the X server (video, audio or desktop) or even have something to do with the new kernel 6. I'm giving up for the moment.

Attempt to create a container with the deb anydesk and all this dependencies.

In MX Linux 23.1 addition of the Anydesk deb repository (see http://deb.anydesk.com/howto.html).
Then download of all the dependancies in MX Linux 23.1 with

Quick explanation :
apt-depends anydesk lists the dependencies (and the dependencies of the dependencies etc)
The packages libggc1, libglu1 and debconf-2.0 are announced as dependencies by the command apt-rdepends but do not exist. They are excluded from the list by the grep -v
apt-get download download the packages without installing them
(source https://stackoverflow.com/questions/137 ... -directory)

Creation of a folder with all this package.

Use of the command

(EDIT: change of the name,6.3.0-mx23.1-1 replaced by 6.30.0mx23.1-1)
to create a container dependent of the bookworm container.

Problem 1 : bookworm do not install correctly. I have already seen this bug and know a solution : viewtopic.php?p=100237#p100237
Problem 2 : The anydesk container does not install. There is still work (Edit : removal of the usr-merge compattibility hypothesis)
EDIT: the installation succeeds but anydesk does not work

Same as before: process run but no window, only tray icon; process dies after less than 1 minute. The issue could not be related to user management in any way.

The flatpak runs flawlessly on Void Linux with musl, runit, pipewire, KDE Plasma and kernel 6.6:

Therefore, the issue should not depend on the version the kernel.

Alright, after removing the symlink from /usr/bin I get:

I don't know why I get this Permission denied message.

I will try to take stock of the situation in the best possible way.
If I create a symlink on /usr/bin, I get:

This is very weird, because I cannot figure out which permission the script is missing. If I move the program folder to /home/spot/Downloads, I get the following:

1) The spot user isn't allowed to do anything on the system outside of its /home/spot folder.
2) The only difference when running the program as user spot is that even the tray icon does not appear: absolutely nothing happens.

Really strange, I started a KLV-Airedale as root then logged out and logged in as spot and the same results! Even as the actual user spot, Anydesk behaves the same way.

@Federico I tried with the same version as you did, then also again with the Debian version. Was it the generic version tested on the Void Linux virtual machine?

No. as already explained, the VM I set up uses musl, not glibc. It also has runit and pipewire. I don't think it can be denoted as generic.

Permission problem and probably missing dependencies

NEW EDIT : The permission problem is due to a feature in the containers. The user root is "crippled" there

To download the dependencies I tried to had the anydesk repository at the sources of PPM/PKGget (see "AnyDesk DEB repository how-to" page http://deb.anydesk.com/howto.html)
Alas the help in PKGget (/usr/local/petget/README-add-repo.htm) is insufficient for me.
(In the bookworm container) I installed pkg2 (viewtopic.php?t=5367) to use the add-repo option. Pkg2 created a new file in /root/.packages but it does not change the file DISTRO_COMPAT_REPOS.
I modified DISTRO_COMPAT_REPOS and tried to install anydesk after the modifications. The package was found . PKGget indicated missing . Retuen dependencies, so click on the "Examine" button. Then no missing deps found

Return to the precious window. Failure of the download (wrong url) but if a choose Test instead Download the result is OK.

New method, use of the list of dependencies provided previously by @Federico (viewtopic.php?p=110070#p110070)
(In the bookworm container) I installed libcairo (although libcairo2 was installed). libxtext and libxinput was not found.
New try of anydesk, still errors.
