LinuxCNC is the reason I made full real time kernels for Puppy Linux.
Heard huge 5.4.70-rt40 was a good performer in this regard.

There is a 64-bit 5.4.70 RT kernel hidden here as well as other versions both 32-bit & 64-bit

@dogcat yes I made all of those kernels. 5.4.70-rt40 was so far really good for audio work and LinuxCNC and another good one is 4.19.82-rt30.
I have reports that indicate that both perform well with audio video work and 5.4.70-rt40 worked well with LinuxCNC
