View AUFS Stack

Post by Burunduk »

This is a modified version of a small script I've posted here. It may be useful when many sfs files are loaded. It prints the current aufs stack starting with the top most layer. The state of the stack is received from /sys/fs/aufs.

It's only been tested on my Fossapup64 9.5 pupmode 5, 12, 13 with a savefile (not tested with a save folder).
Edit: auls-0.2.0

@Burunduk

This is great :thumbup: and I liked the <HELP> button to for explanations.

I had read a number of posts today to understand how the OS was layered (in the Fossapup64-96 thread .... got a bit heated!!) and this visual interpretation simplifies it.

Many thanks

Slick little tool :!: Here's a 'shortstack' from my FP96 radky6 JWM flavour install:

My pups: LxPupSc64 and Voidpup64 with LXDE ydrv & synaptics touchpad drivers, both using savefiles. Ydrv based Jammypup64 (JWM), Bookworm64, Fossapup23 & FossapupFire (LXDE/PCManFM). No savefiles, no fdrvs there. :thumbup:

Can you please add overlayfs support?

Useful tool, especially when you have lots of extra sfs files loaded. :thumbup: Interestingly - I see that the bdrv has preference to the adrv according to the list. Now this is interesting because I use an older Puppy (Bionic) with an old modified init. I'll have to test this to see if it is correct.

auls-0.2.0 - in the 1st post.

Should work with save folders and overlayfs.
