fatdog64-800 and GTK+4

has anyone compiled GTK+4 (4.9.1) from git src on FD800? i have tried and got stopped at the gstreamer-player-1.0 dependency. searching the web i have not found that dependency. making gstreamer a meson subproject has devolved into a flood of dependencies. i am writing a routine that uses GtkListBox, introduced in GTK+3, and is the perfect UI for my needs - but mollasus-slow even for 10,000 records. i am loading 64,000 records. the GTK+4 version promises a significant speed increase, hence my search for GTK+4. any ideas? thank you in advance.
