Instructions for using Seamonkey's Composer to build a website? [closed]

Post by scsijon »

Has anyone got a good referance for building webpages with Composer?

I need to rebuild my sites as i'm moving them to a new host system, and my old builder hasn't existed for at least ten years.

Don't want anything fancy as most of what will move will be T2 compiled packages and completed systems, so indexes will be in the main.

Have you considered trying those free sites which provide already-made templates? Building the rest is very easy. If you only want to link your packages to another storing site this can be sufficient. I use one from Own-Free-Website.com. It has "your preferred site name".page.tl as url which is not too bad.

KompoZer

Stand-alone. 32-bit only. But seems functional. https://sourceforge.net/projects/kompozer/

For 64-bit Puppies, you may want to consider the Composer module of the 64-bit Seamonkey, https://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/

A slightly newer 32-bit Bluegriffon can be obtained here, https://download.cnet.com/BlueGriffon-f ... 65548.html. Click the download button. I downloaded it UExtracted it in Bionicpup64. With 32-bit compatibility SFS loaded, it fired-up when the bluegriffon bash-script was left-clicked.

Sorry, have to break for breakfast. The bluegriffon link is to version 1.6.x. There are newer versions somewhere. Found it. Well, 1.7.2 circa 2013. http://www.bluegriffon.org/freshmeat/1.7.2/

A little hunting should turn up 64-bit versions of Bluegriffon. But, it may be they now want to get paid.

I mean the one inbuilt into Seamonkey. I can use it, but it doesn't have much by way of instructions and i was looking for someone who had found/created a doccument on using it.

However i think i'll just go back and use Bluefish, as that was what I origonally created the site in. Although the new one is different to the one i origonally used it's not that bad to rework it all in. I was just hoping to not have to d/l and install all the additions.

thanks anyway folks.
