Firefox fingerprinting protection

Post by d-pupp »

Fingerprinting was originally used as a security measure. However now it is also being used to track you across the web and generate a profile.
More info and a browser test here. https://www.amiunique.org/

Firefox has a builtin fingerprint blocker. However it is not on by default
To turn it on open settings
Privacy & security
Under Browser privacy
select custom
All the boxes should be checked

I tested with the default setting and again with the custom settings. The website above showed well protected after I turned fingerprings on.

Note: I'm using Firefox-esr 115.8

Is this the same setting for use in the Palemoon browser?
