Suddenly, all USB access is gone.

Post by Governor »

This has happened twice now:

Suddenly, all USB access is gone. Nothing works. Additionally, my laptop keyboard and keypad don't work.
So there is nothing I can do but re-start the computer.

Could this be malware?
Does anyone know about this problem?

Thanks.

I assume it all works after doing a re-start of the computer?

Anything specific you are doing when this happens?

The things you do not tell us, are usually the clue to fixing the problem.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be older.
This is not what I expected :o

I was not doing anything at all when it happened. The laptop was on and sitting unattended for a few hours.
It was fine after the reboot. This has now happened twice.

Seems I remember some discussions on the forum about problems with suspend, sleep, hibernation whatever they call it. You should
do a search of the forum topics with those keywords and see if something can be found. I don't remember the exact Pup that was
having the issues, but there was a fix posted. If I get time, I'll see what I can uncover in searching the forum.
