Chrome behaves very strangely in EasyOS 5.5.1

Post by Maybe »

Hi @BarryK . Chromium behaves very strangely. Some pages open only after reloading. I am using EasyOS Kirkstone-series version 5.5.1. Here's what the terminal writes:

Code: Select all

That is not Chromium that is builtin to 5.5.1?

If Chrome, what one is it; flatpak?

Was it ok in earlier version of Easy?

Can you give an example URL that exhibits the problem thanks.

@BarryK I happened to see Dima mentioned the very same problems here: https://github.com/puppylinux-woof-CE/woof-CE/pull/3867.

James,
Thanks very much for reporting that fix!

To everyone, comment-out "export XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1" in /etc/profile

That was originally introduced in the very early years of Puppy, it fixed rox-filer from crashing. Hopefully commenting it out won't cause a problem for rox!

I made a mistake, a typo. Of course I meant the built-in Cromium. I made a correction in my first post.
