Is there an Okular addon for translating pdf?

Post by soniabu »

hello everyone.
I use Okular with full satisfaction in FocalFossa 20.04. I'm looking for an Okular addon (or something similar)
that allows me to translate inline some parts of pdf studies written in other languages.
I would like an addon similar to the Im-Translator I use with Firefox.
Do you have any suggestions?

I use okular a lot, but just as it comes installed so don't know of any such plugins.

I did a quick search since what you ask for would be nice if it was available. Didn't find any plugin but thought the following looked interesting:

https://github.com/crow-translate/crow-translate
https://crow-translate.github.io/

Haven't tried it, haven't used it, don't know how it fits or doesn't fit in with your 'inline' translation request.

Thx Wiak I read the links, but they do not allow you to go online - that is while I am reading - as you can do with the ImTraslator addon in firefox.
At the moment I select and copy the sentence in the study that contains terms that I do not know and carry it back in the window of a translator such as Deepl or Lingua tralsate. A bit cumbersome but I think I'll have to settle for it.
thanks anyway, sonia
