What does this "ghosting on buttons" mean for real?
There's no hints to see in the attached image to make it even clearer.

It is not an image.

It is a video....

when you click on the image put .gifv at the end of the url...not sure why it gets removed here... :?:

Added the .gifv to the end of the URL. Still after watching the video I have no idea what the ghosting is, that you are talking about. Maybe an explanation of what you see is required.

Nice feature

What GTK theme are you using? Looks like numix-sun.
All numix variants turn the background of disabled buttons to gray (color #A49B9B) and the text label from an already hard to read gray to an even harder to read shaded ("ghosting") text. Your screen video is blurred and it's not clear if traces of the labels are still readable, but I assume they are.
You can see the same effect on the disabled Up/Down arrow buttons of the comboboxes.

Apply a better theme or apply no custom theme at all. The GTK default is to leave the background of disabled buttons unchanged and only change text color from black to gray.

The next day I realized the video was a bad example of what I meant to portray....oops. But I have solved the issue somehow...

The issue I was having is with this you see the buttons at the top are messed up...but I already fixed it somehow... :thumbup2:
