How to Program Arduinos in Bionicpup 64?

Post by scraginagpup »

Greetings!
I am a complete newbie (spelled ignoramus) when it comes to programming Arduinos. I am using Bionic 64 Puppy. I just installed the appropriate Devx.
I have one UNO and a NANO board. What is the best thing to install for this with Puppy Package Manager?
I am assuming that a USB port is used...I am assuming that C or C++ is used, or is it something else?
I am guessing that there are tutorials - library files - code examples - simple programming projects?
Thank-you for any and all help!

I'm far from an expert, but Arduinos have their own front end software that does all the uploading and compiling etc, so you dno't have to know how to do that yourself.

I notice there is a portable linux version, which is always a bonus for getting something to run in Puppies/Dogs.

Make sure and report back what works...
