only one address sends emails all the rest say
Sending of the message failed.
An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded:
Request failed; Mailbox unavailable.
Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again.
email address is correct, and i receive mail on it, but can't send.
mailbox names, email addresses and passwords are all unique.
Other than why in the name of whatever deity you believe in do you have 5 Yahoo addresses (???) the only thing I can think of is
to check all server settings, SSL, OAUTH, etc for each entry in Thunderbird, ensure each is set the same as the functioning one.

all the configurations are the same, only email addresses, passwords and address names are different.
if I login to yahoo it works fine, so it's probably a t'bird error/mistake, imho.
I deleted the account and re-installed it, but no change. could it be LAPD error? Not that I understand, just guessing.

You should also check the settings for the outgoing server (SMTP). You may have 5 different accounts on which you receive mail, but in my experience TB will generally use only a single account for sending. I would suggest checking the settings and making sure that a 'working' account with the required credentials is set as the 'default' for sending.
I don't understand this.
If I set all SMTP servers to same=default. will it manage the separate addresses by their separate identities? should that solve it? because that's not how it is atm.
I'm don't profess to be an email expert - but if you have 5 yahoo email addresses, then all of your email outgoing email would be sent by the yahoo smtp server. So, you would need to have that server (presumably smtp.mail.yahoo.com with port 465 or 587). I would create that entry in the TB outgoing server and set it as the default.
Try it and see what happens - what have you got to lose?
fixed. all email smtp's are Yahoo! Mail <mail.yahoo.com> "default" not used anywhere.
