Can the same kbd/mouse use two USB dongles at once?

i have a wireless kbd/mouse with dongle, and want another dongle to use them in a second device several meters appart. it will reduce clutter if i only have one set. i was hoping i could read the password and use a dumb dongle with it to make it work. running long usb cables on the floor is not desired, tho' it would prob work, with a usb manually switched hub? i want a mouse/kbd on my non otg phone, and a splitter cable is hard to find, unless an otg cable/plug works in a non otg socket? thx.

When you say "wireless" is this an IR or Bluetooth adapter?

do not know if bt or wifi. not IR. does not show on bt nor wifi scan. a cheap, small, wireless usb dongle, somehow unique/dedicated. do not know how. range >= 3m. prob quite slow, as only mouse/kbd to work on. bi-directional, as kbd LED's dependent on good connection? sorry, that's all i know abt it. no packaging.

In terminal type in the following command to identify your usb device

lsusb

It will display all the USB devices attached to your PC.
