Despite what the cult of Ventoy claim.
BOOTING is not the same as using, persistence is required
Ventoy 1.0.39
creates
partition 1 exfat READ only if you boot into Ventoy
2nd, 32MB [yes that small] Fat16 boot VTOYEFI
optionally I suggested Ventory leave 5gb at end of disk
I've tried FAT32 & ext4
You place your ISOs on partition 1 along with a persistence file [optional]
Once you reboot into USB mode Ventoy locks partition 1 as read only
there is no way for puppy bionic fossa CAN use it
Puppy will then select partition 2, which is too small
From a hard drive distro you can reformat USB partition 1 (as ventoy claims you can)
and place ISOs on there and they will boot.
Sure they boot,
yet again that partition is READ only
BOOTING is not the same as using
running in a virtual machine isnt either.
hope this helps someone from Ventoy headaches
