If by "from extras" you mean via Menu>Setup>Quickpet, I'm not sure that ever worked; and if it did that version now 3+ years old may not be acceptable.
Suggest uninstalling it and going with Mikewalsh's Zoom-portable, https://www.forum.puppylinux.com/viewto ... 942#p15942.
Although Mike's portables are designed to be run from locations external to your Puppy --e.g. /mn/thome-- most will function if deployed to /opt.
Download the tar.xz via the above link; extract it and move the extracted folder wherever you want. You can test it by clicking the LAUNCH script. If all is well, MenuAdd will do what it says. Read the MenuReadMe and the OP linked above.
