32bit puppy with 2 wireless mice - project.

i have a wheeled robot.
i want to attach a scroll wheel to each rear wheel for its mouse circuitry to relay a count from each wheel to form a map of permitted/forbidden map of locations in a 32 bit linux pc. the wheels are abt 4in dia. i need to count clicks up and down as the wheels rotate. i'm hoping there won't be any missed clicks from simultaneous/overlapping transmissions.. the pc will output analog voltages to the joystick inputs of a 2 ch remote control to auto direct the robot to its live charging dock on low battery, or on command. Repeaters might act to extend mice range? i'll need some 10m working radius thru 2 besser walls. i will need a 32bit linux. pls recommend something.
