Yes. 2006 is when all manufacturers were instructed (rather mandated) to release x86-64 PCs with a 'standard' minimum of 1GB. All manufacturers adhered to such although some Ma & PA PC shops at that time did not; to reduce user costs along with their 32bit sales.

IN agreeing with what members have shared, I ask the OP @nassen0ff, why choose Puppy versus the other non-PUP distributions dedicated to that very design you ask. The community does not have a distro that is dedicated to your need.

IIRC, Grub2 v2.12 is current as it takes into accounts newer filesystem and stability.
Not sure if your Deb version has this.
