From memory pkg by Scottman is also there in Dpup Buster. I think Peebee's builds do too.

Re: choosing a debian compatible pup or dog?
For Dogs I love Jessie Dog and Stretch and Devuandog Beowulf. You can make your own with Build scripts.
Try Dpup Buster by Joseph2424 it has apt.

89 Under YakketyDog Dog Linux
Your version 89 Chrooted Iron is working well on a Xenial Dog - Not what you'd be expecting it to run on but with a little bit of work I got it running with menu entry. Thanks again Mike for doing these keeping older Puppies and Dogs alive.

It would be nice if someone answered this thread.

Re: Puppy Package Manager gets stuck in a loop if my internet connection goes down
This is normal if your connection goes down as packages can't be downloaded if there is no connection.
Question is why the connection went down??? Do you need to ping the connection so that is not dropped ?
Is there an issue with your Router???

Re: Latest Firefox for Precise?
Nic,
I have a version I am running in Stretch that may run and updates to the latest.
It is converted from a Slitaz version. Uses older glibc it is called Firefox-Official - worth a shot.

As a side note Oscar has done a Stretch 4.1 .pet for Audacious that works with Slacko and SCpup.

Re: Installing Audacious breaks sound in Slackware Pups
Yes it did.
Installed Audacious 3.72 and audacious plugins.
Deps..
fftw, json-c, libasyncns, libproxy,
mpg123, neon, pulseaudio, sbc, speexdsp, and wavpack.
Initially audacious works complaining the mozjs185.so.1.0 is missing then reboot and no sound.

Re: Slackware Pups and audacious
Yep exactly as you described Oscar. Much better to make a version from source without pulse etc which causes the issue.
Not willing to repeat the exercise as I had to reset up SCPup. Just a heads up warning not to install from ppm for Slackware Pups. Ubuntu Pups not affected.
