Re: How to Set Calibre E-Book Viewer to Dark Mode

JusGellin :- Some apps simply WILL not run in "dark mode", even if any config stuff pertaining to it is correctly set-up. Me, I prefer everything dark, so I just set a dark theme globally. I found a beautiful dark theme called "SlicknesS-Black" from gnomelook.org a couple of yea...

Re: PeasyScale has disappeared from the right-click menu in Rox file manager

Governor :- The reason PeasyScale is always missing might be related to the way functionality was split up between the 'puppy' SFS and the 'adrv' SFS. I'm wondering if your adrv is somehow being prevented from loading..? As for the 'Up' arrow taking an mtPaint 'screenshot', curiously I have the sam...

Re: Which Puppy Linux for a beginner?

twigboy :- Re: the "wifi issue". My guess is it's a firmware problem; the kernel probably has the driver for your device, but Puppy isn't providing the necessary firmware to allow the two to "talk' to each other correctly. Some info would help here. Can you run Pup-SysInfo for us (Me...

A thought that's just occurred to me..... Governor :- You say this Nvme drive came with the laptop, yes? Well, if your screenshot on the previous page is correct, you have nearly 12,000 hours on the drive, yes? Have you EVER run the trim command on the drive? This tidies-up the drive, gets rid of al...

I'm still trying to get dropbox working with Puppy linux. You say it is fully tested with QuiskPup. I get an error saying dropbox needs a different drive format. Stickpup make a fat32 usb. JusGellin :- Think of it this way. I guess, like most of us, you've probably heard of, know about or perhaps tried to use the M$ Windows "Restore Point" feature? It's supposed to create a snapshot of the OS at a specified point in time.....to which you can "return" if you banjax...

In any event, I do not expect to be able to avoid having to re-configure all of my settings when I re-boot, no matter what I boot into Perhaps you are doing things the wrong way ?
