Yeah, I took a look at it. I couldn't get it to install properly using golang, as per the instructions. The nice thing about zentile is that you can download the pre-compiled binary.

Blacklisting using /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf should work just fine, if you save the changes before you reboot. Thanks dmkir and Bigpup for your help. I will try not to bother you too much more on this subject since it it not crucial getting Steam to run.
