Re: Running a script via a desktop icon?

Hi williwaw

Thanks for sharing the tip

Unfortunately, it doesn't appear to run. After adding your line, I am clicking on the "OK" button to set it.

Sorry for being a pain

This is what I see when I run the script in terminal manually.

Nmail for Fossapup64 [Solved]

Hi there I was wondering if someone would be kind enough to compile a PET file for the above application? The thread is here: https://forum.puppylinux.com/viewtopic.php?t=1430&start=30 Reading through the thread, I saw that others had to compile an additional dependency to ensure that it worked ...

Tickr - scrolling RSS feed reader

Hi there I wanted a simple application to view RSS feeds on my desktop and decided to try out OpenTickr ( GTK-based). https://www.open-tickr.net/ I am using FossaPup64 and found that it was available in the PPM. On checking their website I found that there was an updated version. https://www.open-ti...

Re: bottom tray disappered

Hiya

Are you using JWM?

If so, Menu - Desktop - JWMDesk Manager

It is on the "Tray" tab. Change the "AutohIde" option.

Hope that helps

Re: Updating every week?

Thank you for the answer and explanation.

I will try it out and look at the ISO contents and try this out myself.

I do have one finally question. If I create a "save" file, will this be picked up and useable following the update?

How to update Vanilla Dpup?

Hi there

I am interested in trying out this build and am a little confused as to how I update this.

My question is, do I need to download the ISO every week or is there another way to update the current fixes?

Is this already included in Fossapup64 or am I just using a generic video driver at the moment? Is it possible to download a driver via the PP...

Hi JakeSFR Firstly, thank you for this update and it works perfectly in FossaPup64. I do have a registered copy of RAR and was pleased that this format was included in your application. I have tried this and it does create the archive. What I would have liked is an option to create multi-archives of...

Re: Fossapup User Contributed Packages

Hi Grey

I compiled the applications within FossaPup64_95 with the devx_fossapup64_9.5.

My original idea was to update MPV, but that require a different tool to compile not GCC (YAD??). So I just updated FFMPeg but not sure if MPV will use the updated codecs.

Thanks for the feedback

Desktop widget in Fossapup64 9.5 [SOLVED]

Hi there
Can someone let me know what this widget is and if it can be edited to show less/more information?
Also, I have a i3 cpu which is dual core however onscreen I can only see CPU0. Is this correct? I had guessed that it should display the individual cores.
Thanks!
