@rockedge, I tried it on F96 to no avail (nothing but kp).

Ain't it ironic that we always want to improve the software (o/s) for hardware that we refuse
to upgrade? Technology is evolving. Let alone the economic law of diminishing returns.

Yes, there is the AUTOSAVE file and a "vanilladpupsave" folder. I remember deleting them and trying again, then doing something and then it worked.

I have been loyal to fossapup64 9.5 only since 2020 as a puppy.
That way, I'll have a better idea of how to improve it over time.

@Jasper, afaik, the last good version of grep's 3.7.
3.8 and higher will generate lines of "error" when updating PPM in fossapup64 9.5.

Re: `gtk-update-icon-cache' gives error: 'GLIBC_2.34 not found'

Thank you @Jasper & @OscarTalks.

I read other forums regarding that error.

After removing...

/usr/local/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu line
from /etc/ld.so.conf.d/x86_64-linux-gnu.conf

The error's gone, but is it the right solution?

`gtk-update-icon-cache' gives error: 'GLIBC_2.34 not found'

gtk-update-icon-cache command in fossapup64 came back with:

/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.34' not found (required by gtk-update-icon-cache)

Thank you for the enlightenment.
