Re: Another Jammy64pup

I think it's worth continuing the development of this Jammy64pup. It is possible that Ubuntu 24.04 will exclude running on some computers that are really not that old. And the polish on this is getting better and better with the big plus that it works well. Plus it is a problem that there are not e...

Re: Announcements about LxPup, SPups, UPups, VPups, Chromium, LXQt & Xfce addons, Kernels etc.

If your intention is to add a layer with symlinks below the upper, you won't be able to modify it freely. Modifications of layers other than upper interfere with file system cache and can lead to data loss and things like contents of lower layers and whiteouts in the upper layer running out of sync...

Could you please enable these OVERLAYFS options to your kernel? Could you explain why these are needed? To allow more granular control on overlayfs. I made experiment were some files are added on the lowerdir even creating a new directory. It turns out that the added files folder on the lower direc...

Re: With the Recent Quittings and Resignations......

Here's my two cents here. Puppy was to suppose to be progressive yet supports legacy hardware. However the development got stuck on its. The goal of supporting circa 90's and 2000's hardware is no longer worth it on this year 2024. Since most legacy computers still used was in 2010's. Maybe it's tim...

Yes, so much in Linux world is moving to newer GTK+s.

I just saw this Blue Recorder announcement moving onto Wayland and newest GTK. You might find it of interest for its use simplicity.

Too bad it was a just a flatpak package only.
