Re: PeasyScale has disappeared from the right-click menu in Rox file manager

I found the hosts file, and have edited it. I just don\t know if it will return on the next boot in the edited version. reboot and see if your edit persisted? if not, reboot without anything other than your power cord and your airdale USB plugged directly into your machines USB port, and redo your ...

AFAIK, my EasyOS USB still works.

are you able to boot with the easyOS USB, make some changes and reboot with persistence working?
make this test with the easyOS USB the only device plugged into any of the laptop's USB ports.

So, I booted from my trusty CD, got the same Puppy menu as last time. I chose RAM-only mode because that one never fails. (And from the other topic) Gov looks like you have a boot loader working (BTW, what is the bottom pic of? I do not recognize the app from the screenshot) The screenshot is of th...

if you keep your save in the puppyfolder than nothing else is needed.

you can access anything on the drive. what would you like puppy to access? do you wish to keep something outside the savefile and need to locate it conviently?

ctrl-c will stop a running command in a terminal session typing bash opens a new shell in the session, but does not end something running in the existing shell ctrl-d will end the terminal session if you logged on from a terminal, you opened a new shell as the logon user. in this case ctrl-d will lo...

thats more to work with.

it is unusual to get the same error with two different computers unless the error is very basic, which is not apparent from what you have posted.

can you verify the errors are exactly the same with both machines and if not, post the other error?

Use Alphine's application to customize grub.cfg when alpine is updated, it will run scripts that update the alpine grub2 menu. It will not write a proper Puppy menu entry. try putting your puppy menu entry in Alpines /etc/grub.d/40_custom https://gist.github.com/drmalex07/e9c44b9760b19c6211bc grub2...
