Open Office 4.1.7 - British English

This is a repack (as .SFS package) of the Open Office Suite DEBs including the en_GB British English language pack.
Tweaks have been made to ensure that the menu entries display correctly in Puppy (JWM/ROX).
EDIT:- Probably should have mentioned that it is 32bit

Re: Extreme Tux Racer

There are some older releases available as source code https://sourceforge.net/projects/extremetuxracer/ but with the combination of hardware specifications and Puppy version it is hard to know what to suggest. There is an older version 0.7.4 in that same yandex disk folder which was compiled in Whe...

Re: How to install vim in puppy?

I am not sure why the .debs are remaining in /root as you describe. I think there is a way of asking the package manager to just download the .debs and not install them, but the normal process is complete installation of package plus dependencies all together from start to finish. Any .debs that are...

Re: How to use vpn with puppy linux?

GPPTP should work. You need to make sure that in /etc/ppp/options.pptp the line require-mppe-128 is uncommented though, so edit it if necessary. I have been experimenting with a simple VPN implementation which uses openvpn (included). I named it vpn-onoff. It is designed mainly for use with a couple...

Can't attach dot pet files. (Solved)

Not sure if these are allowed by the system on this forum? I tried just now and it appeared that the file extension type .pet is not accepted for upload. I reported this same issue to BarryK on his new EasyOS forum and he has fixed it with some admin changes.
EDIT:- Now solved, Thanks!

Tor Browser Bundle

Quite useful in some instances for more private and more secure browsing. Repack of the official release with just a few adaptations to make it more compatible with Puppy. This includes run-as-root and internal apulse to provide audio output. Recent Tor Browser Bundle should work in most recent Pupp...

Re: VLC .pets- links

I have some more VLC builds all compiled from source in a few different Puppies. Some have extra optional dependencies added, others not so much. They should all just be install and go (if installed in matching Puppy version) including Qt GUI interface and they should be more compatible with Puppy (...
