Re: KLA-Manjaro LXDE
I set this up on my HP Pavilion 11m-ap0000 x360 Convertible PC. How do I set this up for wifi? Thanks This is CUPS for printers, but in my case I use HP with system-config-printer and HPLIP. Once you install system-config-printer, you can find it in the menu under Preferences - Print Settings ...

Re: "KL Universal Installer" gui
Soon, a KL installer will be available. It's a small GUI written in Python. It
will create a folder, copy the files, and create GRUB. Bootable USB drives can also be made.

Re: KLA-Manjaro LXDE
What I usually do is the following. Notice that there is a file 10KLA-Manjaro.sfs. The SFS I created, I rename it to 13KLA-Manjaro.sfs. This makes it start with the system. Back to understanding this. For this iso, I see it has 07KLA-manjaro.sfs and 10KLA-Manjaro-03.sfs. Does the KLA make them ...

Hello all, I just wanted to mention this is really a great distro. I'm really liking all the work being done here and throughout the whole site. Thank you all. Re: KLA-Manjaro LXDE
Grub2bootloader config is new feature on KL as far as I know so probably has a few teething problems, missing bits, to iron out. This is true. Adapting Grub4Dos and Grub2config to work in KLV-Airedale is still not 100% as far as boot stanza construction goes. Both programs work to install the boot ...

Re: KLA-Manjaro LXDE
I noticed something I hadn't seen before on other Linux and Puppy installations. When I set this distro up the internal disk as msdos, ext4, and then run Menu>SystemTools>Grub2bootloader config, it gives an error message that mbr only accepts vfat/ntfs/ext2/ext3 and then fails. But if I make it ...

Re: KLA-Manjaro LXDE
If I rename the upper_changes and then mount the sfs that I made, it should go back to the sfs, right? I thought I new how to mount the sfs that I made, but I guess I don't. How do I mount/unmount the sfs that I made? Thanks This type of SFS should be loaded at system startup. To mount an SFS ...

Re: KLA-Manjaro LXDE
Yes, it can be done; in fact, I do it often. When you save the session, a folder called upper_changes is created. I use packit to turn that folder into an SFS. That SFS can then be mounted or added to the system. So I made an sfs of the upper_changes and can see how to mount/unmount it, but didn't ...

Re: "KL Universal Installer"
Closest thing that I am aware of is the effort by the KL developers to provide a lead-in manner for booting ISO files. The developers leadership, as shown in the KL's boot Menu, is the following System is booted either via ISO file launches or via traditional movement of ISO file contents somewhere ...

I am making a persistent mode installer for KL. But I wonder, does KL already come with or have any installer that allows the user to install it in a user-friendly way on a system or USB

I got it to work! @TerryH Thanks for the information you gave. It got me to think in the right direction for what to do. I wanted to first try it out using qemu virt-manager to set up a vm for it. Since I was more familiar with BW64, I used it to set up the drive in the vm I configured. I first set ...

Impressed by the inclusions yet minimalise style approach I'm planning to give this distro a try today. Ive always been fond of Arch based distros. I also like Arch distributions. And in this case, I like that I can use the Puppy Linux kernels. Honestly, your work on creating KL is really good ...

Re: Grub2config KL
This is a good start! I can use Grub2config in KLV-Airedale and KLV-Spectr and now in KLV-Boxer , but the program does not recognize KL's so I've been using @wiak's wd_grubconfig to generate the boot stanza's then manually inserting them into the grub.cfg and menu.lst. It will be really helpful if ...
