This post is about how impressed I've been with using the included midori browser. Previous attempts to use midori ended quite quickly. In the 2 days so far, i...

Re: Unable to get Fatdog64 900 to boot with save folder

Fatdog64 now booting properly. The issue I was seeing is that the boot messages were identifying that sda2, where the fatdog64 save folder was stored was being searched and couldn't be found, which was misleading. I changed the waitdev parameter from 2 to 5 and it was then found and used. I have an ...

There probably a better, more technical bit of advice to solve this, but can you just rename the savefile with the ext4 extension?

No, that would have been simple, but it doesn't work.

Unable to get Fatdog64 900 to boot with save folder [ SOLVED ]

Just did a manual frugal install of Fatdog64 s900 to a microsd card using grub2. The install went well and on shutdown I chose the option to create a save folder. The issue I am having is I am not able to boot and have the save folder loaded at boot. Watching the boot messages, the boot process is s...

Re: Flatpak instalation disk space and a AppImage comparison.

Yeah, I know. I knew that cherrytree was small, so wanted to see all the extra packages to run as flatpak. So 2 applications, a total of just over 240 MiB require 3 GiB of extra packages to be able to run. Adding other flatpak applications will require increasingly less extra packages to be able to ...

Flatpak instalation disk space and a AppImage comparison.

Last week after installing EasyOS 5.4.5, I needed to install Zoom, so it was a good chance to try the flatpak installer. This is the first time I've tried flatpak The install went well and installed Zoom 5.15.2, so very current. All went well and zoom worked without issue. I did notice that lots of ...

apt update or the Synaptic equivalent will probably fix this. You haven't downloaded the package list, so dependencies cannot be installed automatically. Thanks, as advised apt update, or reloading using synaptic package manager is required. Zoom and some additional dependencies then installed succ...

Bookworm Pup64 RC I downloaded and installed the zoom_amd64.deb package from the Zoom web site. I'll try again...

What does Ctrl+X in Easy do? Delete a file? That would be cool, because that's how ROX-Filer used to work.

Just tested in EasyOS 5.4.1. Ctrl+X does delete.

Re: Boot problems with fossapup64_9.5

I've watched this thread from the start. Personal choice. To me Pupmode 13, gives the greatest flexibility when shutting down to be able to save or not save as I want. On SSDs, it also reduces writes.

Re: Boot problems with fossapup64_9.5

I would leave it as ataflsh . Personally I believe it gives you more options to save or not save. The updates reside in ram until you, click the Save icon, which saves any updates made to that point in the session. With pupmode 13 you can choose the save period or to not save at all. The shutdown dia...

Re: Boot problems with fossapup64_9.5

Now that you actually have a save, if you only have a single save file / folder, the boot process will automatically boot using it. You won't have to do the 0,1,2 part. So maybe delete the dummy place holder saves and the second save you have.

If you are going to keep Windows 10.
First use Windows 10 defrag program and defrag partition C

DO NOT defrag the SSD, it is not required and can be harmful to it.

But doesn't a drive need to be "mounted" in order to be read or written to? when I try to access an unmounted drive, I get a blank field in ROX where there would be a file listing if it were mounted. Yes it does need to be mounted. If you are using rox filer and click on for example /mnt/...
